Ian Milimo has over 18 years of professional experience working at both community and policy levels in development programming. Currently employed as Project Manager at the UNDP’s Regional Hub for Europe and the CIS, Ian is overseeing a global project implemented in 10 countries covering Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
Prior to this, Ian was the Assistant Resident Representative for Poverty Reduction and SDGs in Zambia for six years. His portfolio presided over strategic programmatic interventions in HIV, Health & Development (HHD); the Extractives Industry; Private Sector Development; the Humanitarian-Development nexus; and was also the UNDP’s oversight Manager for the United Nations Volunteer program in the country. Prior to joining the UN systems, Ian worked for the US Government as PEPFAR Senior Programme specialist. He has also worked for a number of NGOs in many countries.
