Director, Northern Ghana Shea
Juliette Lampoh is the Director of Northern Ghana Shea Enterprise (NGS), a social enterprise with equal focus on Profit, People and the Environment, operating in the Upper West Region of Ghana. While working as the Ghana Country Director of United Purpose, a UK Non-Governmental organization, she initiated the establishment of NGS in 2013 in efforts to find more sustainable vehicle for economic empowerment of rural women in northern Ghana. Starting with a group of women in one community NGS, now operates in fourteen communities with more than 1000 women.
Juliette has more than 22 years experience in development practice, with expertise in market systems development; and 6 years in social enterprise management . She has designed and managed projects in sectors including sustainable livelihoods, micro-finance, and governance . Before joining United Purpose Juliette worked as a Business Advisor with TechnoServe in Ghana. She holds MA in Economic Policy Management, B.Sc. Agriculture, and Diploma in Development Leadership from the Coady International Institute.
